Pico general notes

What a great experience.

In the 7th, when they took the lead, I started smiling.

Not because I knew we'd win. I wanted to see how you guys would come back from adversity. What are we made of?

Your resolve and poise informs me more of how I can keep drilling into you next-level ideas.

An example of good practice going into the game. In the cross-over tee drill we randomly did, Thomas had some awesome swings. Then, in the yellow whiffle ball drill in the outfield he took four amazing/balanced swings. That’s it. His round was over.

In his first at bat he hit one of the hardest balls we've hit all season.

It's that time of mentality + effort we put into the mundane drills.

Boring = greatness.

The more we get reps, the most we master each element of what all the coaches are teaching us, the better we'll get. Simple.

... the journey continues... let's work on

Putting our phones on silent

Runners - 2 outs - count goes to 3-2

You make sure the pitcher goes home - and you RUN... it is either going to be a ball in play, a K, or ball four. Don't run off the runner in front of you, but if he has a basehit - and you are on 1st - you gotta be touching 2nd base as the ball enters the hitting zone - especially if they are not holding you on and the pitcher went from the windup

Walk off bat flips - let’s make them less murderous in the future

Bunts - gotta get 'em down. We have to get a lot more serious about bunting especially since it is so easy once you figure out what is needed. We have light flight back in the mix… should help us get reps.

Bunt defense - work on knowing where we go based 'the scoreboard.'
